Q: Where can
I find your stuff in stores?
A: There are links to all the stores that carry our stuff
on the Community page.
Q: Are the shirts
cut true to size or do they run small?
A: Unfortunately, many of the hippest designed shirts we
find are cut in Junior sizes, so they tend
to run
small. Look on each item's description page for the icon
indicating whether it is fitted, true-to-size, or generously
cut.
Q: Will my shirts shrink?
A: We use several different sources for our “blank” shirts.
It depends on the brand of the shirt we print on. Most
of them are printed on pre-shrunk garments, but look on
each item's description page for the icon indicating if
that shirt has a chance of shrinking. And remember, you
can shrink almost
anything if you wash and dry on the hottest settings.
Q:
Are all the shirts silk-screened by hand?
A: Yes. And the embroidery is also all done in our shop,
and the patches are sewn on by hand (as you can undoubtedly
tell by the loose ends…)
Q: Do the designs bleed or
fade?
A: No. Our printing includes a curing process that “locks” in
the ink color. The shirts themselves will not fade any
more
than garments you buy anywhere.
Q: How long will it
take to get my order?
A: You should expect to recieve your order within 10 days.
Q: Do you offer gift orders? Gift wrapping?
A: Yes. If your order is a gift, click on the “gift” tab
in your shopping cart. We will wrap your gift, and send
it without the invoice, and send the invoice to you.
Q:
Do you ship internationally?
A: Yes, just click on the foreign shipping button in the
shopping cart and we’ll charge you applicable shipping
fees and send your order right out!
Q: What is your return policy?
A: If you’re not happy with your garment, you may
return or exchange it within 10 days from the date of delivery.
Simply return it to:
In SolidariTee, Inc. |
PO Box 227 |
Nyack NY 10960
Please enclose the return slip with your returned merchandise.
Q: I have a boutique
and I’d love to sell your shirts.
Do you sell wholesale?
A: Yes! Please see the Wholesale
page.
Q: Do you donate any of
your profits to progressive organizations?
A: Yes. Some of our recipients
so far have been:
Chicago Humanities Festival, Chicago IL
Day To Be Gay Foundation of Sullivan County, NY. A non-profit
organization that sponsers an annual fund-raiser fair,
and which supports various local groups - mostly youth
oriented - who are either gay-friendly, or directly supporting
gay
issues.
Inside Out, The Hudson Valley Magazine for the LGBT Community
Old Town School of Folk Music, Chicago IL
Rockland County Family Shelter
Rockland Parent Child Center
Q: When did you start In SolidariTee,
and how?
A: The first shirt was a gift Betty made for Julie in the
fall of 2004, soon after coming to her yoga classes. She
took the Simple Om that Julie had designed for the studio
where she teaches -The Birchwood Center - and put it on
the long sleeve black tee that we still make. Several months
later,
when
Julie
wanted to make t-shirts as party favors for a birthday
party, she went to Betty for help. That was the Sun
+ Moon = Hatha design. They had such fun working together
that they decided to try a few more, and so In SolidariTee,
Inc. was begun! Our first sale was in September 2005 and
it went
so well we decided to keep going. We became official in
November 2005.
Q: How can we help you grow?
A: Spread the word! Send a link to our website to anyone
you think would like our stuff! |
